Parkrun cup - third Saturday every month

Runners get 2 points for completing the run and 1 point for obtaining a personal best. Points from 10 down to 1 were also be awarded according to the best age graded performances. We will be reviewing the way that points are awarded in light of experiences in this first year and the first run counting towards the 2011 season will be 19 February. We want to provide more encouragement and reward for commitment and improvement as well as quality of overall performance

Kent Fitness League cross country races - occasional Sundays during Winter

We take part in the Kent Fitness cross country league meetings. If you're interested in taking part but don't know the ropes, please call Helen James (020 8462 1678) or Jane Greenfield/ Phil Greenfield (020 8462 5496).

All the races start at 11am and are around 5 miles long on varying off-road terrain. It is usually the first 7 men and 3 women that count toward our points total, while every finisher helps to push down the opponents scoring. Entry fee is £2 on the day. Finishers are entered into an end of race raffle.

For more information don’t forget to check out the web pages devoted to this league www.canterburyharriers.org and www.swanleyanddistrictac.org.
